Who We Are

Christopher Sousa is the founder and owner of Scrap Away Metal Recycling, a locally rooted business based in Hamilton, Ontario. Driven by a deep commitment to sustainability and community service, Christopher launched the company to make scrap metal recycling simple, accessible, and completely free for homeowners, businesses, and contractors across the region.

With hands-on experience in safely removing everything from old appliances to automotive scrap, Christopher ensures that all collected materials are processed responsibly—diverting waste from landfills and promoting eco-friendly habits. Known for his reliability, integrity, and friendly approach, he takes pride in offering fast, hassle-free pickups that help clients clear out clutter while protecting the environment.

When he’s not collecting scrap, Christopher is out in the community promoting local recycling initiatives and helping Hamilton stay clean, green, and sustainable—one pickup at a time.
